Episode 1459, The Complete Story of Earth (Science + Spiritual Perspective) पृथ्वी की महागाथा — 4.5 अरब वर्षों की आध्यात्मिक यात्रा
Today we will talk about the complete story of Earth — about 4.54 billion years of history. We will first look at the scientific perspective, then the spiritual perspective, and finally the ultimate truth explained by Bapuji.
Everyone joining for the first time is requested to subscribe to the channel. Looking at the current world situation, we see instability everywhere. Conflict, tension, uncertainty are increasing. Both scientific and spiritual thinkers are asking: what is the solution? One solution is that this mortal world can become an immortal world. Divine souls can become supreme souls. Even if not everyone achieves this, some souls can transform themselves and influence the world. So let us understand the history of Earth — how it was formed and why it was formed — from science, spirituality, and ultimate truth.
Earth’s History According to Science (4.54 Billion Years Timeline)
According to science, Earth was formed approximately 4.54 billion years ago.
A solar system of gas and dust formed around the Sun. Collisions occurred, and through a process called accretion, Earth was formed. Initially, Earth was a molten fireball. There was heavy meteor bombardment. There was no life — only fire, lava, and gases.
Beginning of Life (3.8–3.5 billion years ago)
About 3.5 billion years ago, life began.
Oceans formed (science does not clearly explain how). The environment cooled. Single-celled organisms like bacteria and cyanobacteria appeared. These organisms began using sunlight for energy through photosynthesis. For the first time, life appeared on Earth.
Oxygen Revolution (2.4 billion years ago)
Cyanobacteria released oxygen into the atmosphere. Gradually the atmosphere changed. Oxygen was toxic to earlier life forms, causing a major extinction event.
Snowball Earth (700–600 million years ago)
Earth became covered in ice. Even oceans froze. Most life nearly disappeared. This is considered a global catastrophe.
Cambrian Explosion (540 million years ago)
Suddenly many complex life forms appeared in oceans. Life diversified rapidly.
Age of Dinosaurs (230–66 million years ago)
Dinosaurs dominated Earth for millions of years. Then a massive asteroid struck Earth about 66 million years ago. Dust covered the Sun, food chains collapsed, and 75% of species became extinct, including dinosaurs.
We discussed this in Episode 1458 — the five major mass extinctions in Earth's history and the possibility of the sixth extinction happening now.
Five Major Mass Extinctions
Ordovician extinction (444 million years ago) – marine life destroyed
Devonian extinction (370 million years ago) – aquatic life crisis
Permian extinction (250 million years ago) – 90% of life destroyed
Triassic extinction (200 million years ago) – rise of dinosaurs
Cretaceous extinction (65 million years ago) – extinction of dinosaurs
Human beings appeared only about 200,000 years ago (Homo sapiens). Compared to Earth’s history, humans are very recent. Today we live in the modern era of climate change, nuclear power, AI, and technology. Some scientists believe we are entering the sixth mass extinction. Earth has experienced many small catastrophes as well: ice ages, volcanic eruptions, floods. Life repeatedly changes form but does not completely disappear. The biggest question is: Are we witnessing another mass extinction? Science wonders whether consciousness can change history.
Spiritual Perspective – The Journey of Consciousness
Spirituality explains that Earth’s story is not just about rocks and fossils. It is a journey of consciousness, soul, and supreme power.
Spiritual teachings introduce three important elements:
• Consciousness
• Soul
• Supreme Power
Science does not discuss these. According to Vedas, Upanishads, and spiritual knowledge: Initially nothing existed — no name, no form. Only infinite consciousness (Brahman) existed. The Supreme decided to manifest creation — from one to many. Creation began as expression of consciousness.
According to Bapuji’s explanation:
First, the formless realm existed. Souls existed in subtle form before physical creation. For a long period, there was only subtle creation — no physical world. Souls multiplied in the subtle dimension. Later, physical worlds were created for souls to reside in. Planets and subtle worlds already existed before physical Earth manifested. Then the five elements were created:
• Space
• Air
• Fire
• Water
• Earth
From these five elements, physical bodies and nature were formed. Science calls this matter and energy.
Spirituality calls this five elements plus consciousness. Souls gradually lost spiritual power through excessive creation and material involvement. As purity reduced, souls began entering physical bodies. Gradually spiritual knowledge was forgotten.
The cycle of time began:
Satya Yuga – age of purity
Treta Yuga – slight decline
Dwapar Yuga – further decline
Kali Yuga – ignorance and conflict
We are currently near the end of Kali Yuga.
Types of Dissolution (Pralaya)
Spiritual scriptures describe three types of destruction:
Daily dissolution (birth and death cycle)
Partial destruction (wars, floods, earthquakes)
Total dissolution (reset of creation)
Science calls this mass extinction. Spirituality calls it cyclical transformation.
Role of Consciousness
According to Bapuji’s knowledge: Events on Earth are influenced by collective consciousness. Souls from different cosmic regions have interacted with Earth’s development. Ancient civilizations created advanced structures like pyramids. Human consciousness determines the direction of civilization. Human beings have the ability to know themselves and connect with the Supreme. Humans are the turning point of creation.
Present Time – Signs of Transformation
Today we observe:
• Wars
• Natural disasters
• Mental stress
• Rapid rise of Artificial Intelligence
• Rapid technological growth
Time is accelerating. Tasks that once took years can now be completed in days. Knowledge is spreading faster than ever. Humanity is approaching a major transformation period.
Will There Be Another Great Destruction?
Science says extinction cycles continue. Scriptures say time cycles repeat .Bapuji says destruction is not inevitable. If consciousness changes, outcomes can change. Earth’s story is not only geological — it is spiritual. Every destruction is also a new beginning. This time, consciousness may determine the future.
How Long Will Earth Exist?
Science says: Earth is about 4.5 billion years old. The Sun’s lifespan is about 10 billion years. After about 5 billion more years, the Sun may expand into a red giant and engulf Earth.
Scriptures say: Creation follows cycles of Brahma’s day and night. Each cycle lasts 4.32 billion years. Creation repeats continuously. According to spiritual knowledge: Existence is a repeating cosmic drama. Forms change but consciousness continues.
Final Message
Earth’s story is not only about matter. It is about the journey of souls. Every destruction brings new creation. The real question is not when the world will end.
The real question is: Who are you in this drama? Are you a limited being (jeev) or a divine being (shiv)? The soul has the power to become liberated. Liberation is achieved through awareness of the difference between body and soul. Focus on the power of the soul rather than destiny lines. You have free will. Awaken consciousness. Spread supreme peace in the world.
Realize: You are a soul using the body to complete karmic duties.
When realization happens, liberation becomes possible.
A great transformation is coming. Awaken divine consciousness. Spread supreme light across existence.

Learn how subtle desires (sukshma maya) influence the soul’s journey from Mrityulok to Amarlok. Based on Paramshanti knowledge, Bhagavad Gita insights, and examples like Jada Bharat and the Golden Deer, this discourse explains how final thoughts shape the next birth and how choiceful awareness leads to moksha
