Who’s Will Operates on Earth – God’s or Humans’?

Question: On this Earth, whose will actually operates – God’s will or human will? When something bad happens, people say “God did it.” But when something good happens, they say “It happened because of my karma.” So whose will truly works?

Krishna spoke about free will to Arjuna in the Gita – “Man Mana Bhava.” Please explain this concept.

Humans Have Free Will

Every human soul, or any soul, is free to act according to its own will. Each soul performs good or bad actions according to its own intellect and understanding. People often say “Oh my God” when something goes wrong. Suppose an earthquake destroys someone’s shop, and that person blames God, saying: “Nothing can happen against God’s will. My shop collapsed, so it must be God’s will. God should compensate me.”

People interpret religious texts like the Bible, Quran, and Gita, saying God causes destruction, earthquakes, or disasters.

In the Gita it is said: “I create through Brahma and I cause destruction through Shankar.”

Creation and destruction occur continuously in cycles. There are different levels of dissolution (Pralaya):

  • Nitya Pralaya (continuous transformation)

  • Kalpa Pralaya

  • Maha Pralaya

These cycles keep occurring.

Why Do Earthquakes and Natural Disturbances Occur?

When highly pure souls (Satopradhan souls) live on Earth, such as in Satyug, their thoughts are positive and pure. Positive thinking creates positive vibrations. These vibrations influence the atmosphere. The atmosphere affects the five elements (earth, water, fire, air, ether). When human thoughts are positive, nature remains balanced and stable.

However, as time progresses through Treta Yug, Dwapar Yug, and Kaliyug, souls gradually become Tamopradhan (impure). Their qualities decline from 16 kalas (complete virtues) to lower levels. As negativity increases: Conflicts increase, Negative thinking spreads, Vibrations become negative, The atmosphere becomes disturbed, Nature becomes unstable, Earthquakes and disturbances occur

Therefore, it is not God who shakes the Earth; rather, the collective negative vibrations of human souls disturb nature.

Origin of Earth and Decline of Souls

It is explained that when divine beings declined from their higher state, the physical Earth had to be created.

Originally, there was a subtle world of divine beings (like angelic forms). At that time:

  • Earth did not exist

  • Sun did not exist

  • Souls possessed immense inner light equal to billions of suns

  • Souls were extremely powerful and pure

As souls declined, they became more material and gross, resulting in the creation of the physical world.

When souls become Tamopradhan:

  • Thoughts become negative

  • Vibrations affect nature

  • The five elements become imbalanced

  • Natural disturbances occur

Role of God in Destruction

Scriptures say: “Whenever there is a decline in righteousness, I manifest.” God intervenes only at the final stage to restore balance and protect righteous souls. Avatars of Vishnu and Shiva have appeared to restore balance on Earth. But why think only about one universe? There are countless universes (Multiverse). Science today also discusses the concept of the multiverse.

Law of Karma

You receive results according to your actions. If you plant a babul (thorn) tree, you cannot expect mangoes.

Similarly: Negative actions bring painful results. Positive thinking creates positive destiny.

Meaning of “Man Mana Bhava”

Krishna told Arjuna: Forget bodily attachments and become soul-conscious. Remember the Supreme Soul. By remembering God, negative karmas are destroyed, and the soul attains liberation (Param Dham). Krishna explained knowledge of the Gita and then gave Arjuna free will: Now decide what you want to do. Arjuna was hesitant to fight because his opponents included relatives like Bhishma and Dronacharya.

But Krishna explained: Your duty is to perform righteous action. Kill the sinners. Go beyond relationship

What Should Humans Do Today?

Today’s humans ask: What actions should we perform? Earth is facing instability. Natural elements seem weakened. Planets influence Earth. Science says the Sun’s gravity influences all planets across vast distances.

But the main solution is: Know the Supreme Authority. Know the Supreme Father. Know the unlimited universe (Behad ka Vishva). Gain spiritual knowledge. Become knowledgeable (Gyani). Become a Yogi. Connect with the Almighty Authority. Yog means connection with the Supreme. Through this connection, power is received.

Self Transformation Leads to World Transformation

First transform yourself. Humans are trapped in material concerns and maya (illusion), so they do not find time for spiritual knowledge. Become broad-minded. Do not remain like a frog in a well. Become like a fish in the ocean of knowledge. Maintain positive thinking for world welfare. When positive vibrations increase:

  • Atmosphere changes >Nature becomes balanced> Negative thinking decreases> Humanity transforms

But the ultimate transformation happens through the Almighty Authority.

The Gita says: “Know Me.Come into My refuge. I will free you from sins accumulated over many births. I will take you to the highest state (Param Dham)”

Souls are independent, but when they suffer, they naturally remember God, just as a child calls its mother when in pain. God does not immediately interfere. At the final time (Judgment Day), everything can change in a moment. A better world will come. To enter that world, the soul must prepare.

Preparing the Soul for the New World

The physical body is like clothing of the soul. This body is made of five elements and cannot enter the highest spiritual realm. The soul needs a new body of higher elements (Param Tatva). Through spiritual knowledge and remembrance of God:

  • The soul becomes powerful

  • Inner light increases

  • Transformation begins

Use free will to transform yourself. Fill yourself with higher spiritual elements. Contribute positive vibrations to the world. Even a small positive change improves destiny. At the time of final transformation (Judgment time), the soul should be ready to enter the higher world.

Prepare from now:

1.       Transform yourself

2.       Gain knowledge

3.       Practice yoga (spiritual connection)

4.       Perform elevated actions

5.       Offer actions to God

6.       Become a Karma Yogi

When self-transformation happens, world transformation naturally follows. A new world will definitely come.

Conclusion

Human beings have free will and are responsible for their thoughts and actions. Self-change leads to world change.

Paramshanti.
