The Joy of the Soul: “The Secret of Sat-Chit-Anand State of Soul”

The Forgotten Treasure Within

In this special episode of Arya Bapuji’s spiritual discourse, we are taken deep into one of the most sacred truths of existence — the joy of the soul. Human beings are endlessly searching for happiness through money, relationships, power, and pleasures, yet very few find lasting peace. The reason is simple: true joy does not belong to the body, the mind, or the world — it belongs to the soul. The purpose of this teaching is to awaken us to the reality that we are not bodies seeking happiness — we are blissful souls temporarily forgetting our true nature.

What Is the Soul and Why Is It Called Jiva?

The soul is called Jiva because it is the living, conscious entity that animates the body. But the tragedy of human life is that the soul forgets itself. Instead of identifying as consciousness, people begin to identify as:---------the body----the mind----emotions-----thoughts----social roles

When this happens, the soul forgets:

  • Who am I?

  • Where did I come from?

  • What is my true form?

  • What is my destination?

This loss of self-knowledge is the root of suffering.

Joy Belongs to the Soul — Not to the Mind

Happiness and sorrow belong to the mind and body. Joy (Anand) belongs to the soul. That is why: Pleasure fades, Wealth disappoints, Relationships change, Even success becomes empty But the joy of the soul is: Infinite, Unchanging, Independent of objects, Not dependent on time, body, or people. Once someone touches the soul’s bliss, they never want to lose it.

Why Worldly Pleasure Fails

People think:

“If I get more money, I will be happy.”
“If I get a bigger house, I will be happy.”
“If I get a better partner, I will be happy.”

These desires are born from Rajas and Tamas, which give temporary pleasure but permanent dissatisfaction.
Only Sattva — purity — brings us closer to true joy.

True joy is:

  • Eternal

  • Infinite

  • Not limited by time

  • Not reduced by loss

That which never ends — that alone is real happiness.

Expansion Creates Joy

A great spiritual law is revealed:

The more your consciousness expands, the more your joy increases.

When you think only about yourself, your joy is small.
When you think about your family, it grows.
When you think about society, it grows more.
When you think about the whole world, joy becomes infinite.

That is why saints, servers, and yogis experience deep bliss — their consciousness is universal.

Sat-Chit-Anand — The Nature of the Supreme Soul

The Supreme Soul (Paramatma) is called Sat-Chit-Anand:

  • Sat — Absolute Truth

  • Chit — Pure Consciousness

  • Anand — Eternal Bliss

When a human being realizes this truth, he also becomes Sat-Chit-Anand in experience. Truth makes you joyful. Falsehood creates suffering. That is why God is blissful — because God is absolute truth.

Why Humans Alone Can Attain This Bliss

Among all 8.4 million species, only humans can:

  • Think consciously

  • Perform self-chosen actions

  • Seek truth

  • Attain liberation

Even gods and demons must come in human form to gain self-knowledge. That is why this human life is priceless.

The King and the Cart Driver

A king with endless luxury was unhappy. A poor cart driver with nothing was joyful. The king learned that: Happiness does not come from what you have — it comes from knowing who you are. The cart driver had discovered the bliss of the soul.

Why People Commit Suicide

Even suicide comes from self-love. People do not want to suffer — they want relief. But destroying the body does not end suffering. Only knowledge of the soul does. That is why true spirituality saves lives.

The Great Truth About Relationships

We love people not because of them — We love them because they give us happiness. The moment a relationship becomes painful, people leave. This proves that the soul loves happiness more than anything else. This is evidence that bliss is the soul’s nature.

Why We Keep Begging for Small Pleasures

Ignorance makes us beg for:

  • Money

  • Love

  • Success

  • Children

  • Favors

But the wise seek the infinite from the Infinite.

Temporary pleasures are crumbs.
The soul is an ocean.

The Three Kinds of Worldly Joy

  1. Anand – joy when you see what you like

  2. Mod – joy when you get it

  3. Pramod – joy when you enjoy it

But all three end with separation.

Only the soul’s bliss never ends.

Why We Cannot Experience Bliss

Because our attention is stuck in:

  • Body

  • Thoughts

  • Emotions

  • Desires

To experience bliss, awareness must return to the soul. Darkness exists only because the eyes are closed.

Meditation: The Door to Bliss

When the mind becomes silent and awareness enters the soul, bliss flows naturally. The soul is: White light, Pure peace, Infinite joy. When many souls meditate together, peace spreads through the whole Earth.

Conclusion — Your True Identity

You are not here to suffer. You are not here to beg for happiness. You are here to remember who you are:

An eternal soul of Sat-Chit-Anand: When you know this, sorrow ends. When you live this, bliss begins.
