Episode 1420, Does God Exist? Understanding Ultimate Reality Through Logic, Science & Spiritual Wisdom

Introduction: Is God Missing, Dead, or Beyond Our Understanding?

In today’s world, many people ask bold questions: “Does God exist?” “Has God disappeared?” “Is God dead?”

Such titles often attract attention, but the real purpose behind these questions is deeper — to understand the truth of existence. This article explores the idea of God not through blind belief, but through logic, science, and spiritual wisdom. It explains why God is not a human-like figure sitting in the sky, but the ultimate foundation of all existence.

Can We See God?

Many atheists say: “We have never seen God, so God does not exist.” But this logic is flawed.

We cannot see:   Air, Electricity, Radiation, Gravity, Consciousness

Yet we know they exist. Similarly, God is not something that can be seen with physical eyes. Human eyes have limited capacity. They cannot see galaxies clearly, let alone the ultimate reality. The Bhagavad Gita teaches: “What is visible is temporary. What is invisible is eternal.” Therefore, the truth lies beyond physical perception.

The Problem of Dependency (Contingency)

Everything in this universe is dependent on something else.

Examples:

  • A mobile phone → depends on a factory

  • Factory → depends on humans

  • Humans → depend on parents

  • Parents → depend on previous generations

This chain continues endlessly.

Similarly:

  • A bulb → depends on electricity

  • Electricity → depends on power stations

  • Power stations → depend on machines

So the question arises: Can this chain go on forever without a beginning? The answer is: No. There must be a first cause — something that is not dependent on anything else. This is called the Necessary Being. That Necessary Being is what we call God.

God Is Not a Person in the Sky

Many people reject God because they imagine Him as:

  • An old man sitting in heaven

  • A magician performing miracles

  • A human-like ruler

But this is a misunderstanding. God is not a physical person. God is:

  • The Ultimate Cause

  • The Final Foundation

  • The Source of All Energy

  • The Root of All Creation

He is Self-Existent — dependent on nothing.

Science and the Big Bang

Science says the universe began with the Big Bang. But science cannot answer:

  • Who created the laws?

  • Why did it happen?

  • What existed before it?

  • Who initiated it?

Every explosion needs a cause. One hand cannot clap alone. So even science indirectly points to a Supreme Cause beyond matter.

Why Is There Suffering If God Exists?

This is a common question: “If God exists, why is there pain?” The answer: Suffering is not proof of God’s absence. Suffering is proof of karma. Pain is the result of actions — not punishment by God. God gives knowledge and guidance, not interference in karma. He shows the path to liberation. Walking on it is our responsibility.

Who Created God?

Anything that is created cannot be God. God is uncreated. He is eternal. He was never born and will never die. That is why scriptures call Him: Self-born, Self-existing, Eternal Reality

The Infinite Creation

Spiritual wisdom teaches:

  • There are countless universes

  • Countless galaxies

  • Countless levels of creation

Each has its own creator. Above all is the Supreme Source. Human intellect struggles to imagine this infinity, but logic demands it.

God and the Soul

Every soul carries divine essence. Inside every human being exists a connection to the Supreme. When the mind becomes quiet and pure, the soul recognizes its source — just like a calf finds its mother among thousands of cows. This recognition is spiritual awakening.

Wrong Definition Is the Real Problem

The real problem is not believing or disbelieving in God. The real problem is wrong definition.

People think:

  • God = Idol

  • God = Person

  • God = Miracle-worker

But God is: The necessity of existence itself. Without God, nothing can exist.

God Is the Ultimate Support

Just like:

  • Light depends on electricity

  • Life depends on oxygen

  • Body depends on food

Similarly: The universe depends on God. Remove that foundation — and everything collapses.

Knowledge and Meditation Together

Knowledge alone is incomplete. Meditation without understanding is also incomplete. True spiritual growth needs both:----Wisdom (Gyan)-----Connection (Yoga)

When both unite, ignorance dissolves.

Liberation: The Final Goal

The goal of life is not wealth, fame, or power. The goal is:

  • Freedom from karma

  • Freedom from rebirth

  • Freedom from suffering

  • Union with Supreme Consciousness

This is called Moksha or Liberation.

Bapuji says creation is not limited to one universe — there are countless universes and multiverses.

  1. Our visible universe is only a small part of infinite creation.

  2. Every galaxy, solar system, and planet is created by higher cosmic powers under divine laws.

  3. Above our universe exists Mahabrahmand (Great Cosmos) and Param Mahabrahmand (Supreme Cosmos).

  4. Each level has its own creator beings, working under the Supreme Source.

  5. The Supreme Parmatma gives energy, laws, and consciousness to all levels.

Conclusion: God Is a Logical Necessity

Believing in God is not blind faith. It is the final conclusion of deep thinking. Without God:   No existence, No order, No meaning The question is not: “Does God exist?” The real question is: “How does anything exist without God?”

Final Message

God is not someone to be feared. God is not someone to be argued about.

God is:

  • The light behind all light

  • The life behind all life

  • The consciousness behind all consciousness

Connect your intellect with wisdom. Connect your soul with meditation. Purify your mind. Awaken your inner light. And gradually, truth will reveal itself.
