The Paramshanti Maha Mantra: The Path to Supreme Peace
Why “Paramshanti” is not merely a word for calm — but the original state of the soul, the highest vibration in creation, and a science of transformation for the self, the world, and the multiverse.
✱
We spend our whole lives searching for peace outside ourselves — in new places, new circumstances, new possessions. Yet according to the knowledge of Bapuji Dashrathbhai Patel, the peace we are looking for was never outside at all. It is already present within, waiting only to be remembered. This is the heart of The Paramshanti Maha Mantra, and the reason a single word can become a path.
This article is a complete guide to the teaching at the centre of the book: that Paramshanti is the soul's own original nature, that it carries the supreme light of Param Prakash within it, and that when the soul speaks and holds this sankalp from its true form, it sets in motion a vibration powerful enough to transform the body, the home, society, the Earth, and ultimately the boundless creation. We will move from the foundational ideas through to a practical method of sadhana you can begin today.
Chapter OneWhat Is Paramshanti?
Paramshanti is not an ordinary word, nor is it simply a name for a quiet mind or balanced emotions. It is described as the most original, the most pure, and the highest state of the soul's own nature. In the state where the soul rests in its true form — free from identification with the body, free from the weight of karma, free from the noise of scattered thoughts — that very state is Paramshanti.
When the soul first came into existence, it was filled with complete peace, stillness, and light. Over time, as it became entangled in the experiences of body, karma, desire, and the world, this original state gradually became veiled. That forgetting is precisely why a human being now searches for peace externally, while the true peace lies already within.
Paramshanti is the rediscovery of this original state. It is not something new to be brought from outside; it is the truth the soul is simply asked to recognise once again. When the soul experiences itself not as a body but as a pure source of supreme energy, the same original memory and nature slowly awaken — and that is Paramshanti.
Bapuji Insight
“Paramshanti sabse uccha kampan hai, aur yahi kampan poore Brahmand ko badal sakta hai.”
“Paramshanti is the highest vibration, and this very vibration has the power to transform the entire cosmos.”
Chapter TwoThe Deep Connection Between Soul and Paramshanti
The relationship between the soul and Paramshanti is not external or artificial — it is the very foundation of the soul's existence. Just as it is the nature of fire to burn and of water to cool, it is the nature of the soul to be at peace. The soul is the source of consciousness: a subtle, luminous point that is neither body, nor name, nor a mere flow of thoughts. Within it are stored the impressions, karmas, and memories of many births.
When the soul rests in its original state — pure, undistorted, and beyond body-identification — it naturally experiences Paramshanti. The moment it begins to live in body-consciousness, however, its sankalps become disturbed, unstable, and scattered. Established in atmaswaroop, those same sankalps become pure, stable, and powerful, and from there the true experience of peace begins.
The book describes this relationship on three levels, which together form a clear progression:
Level One
Paramshanti is the soul's original nature
It is innate, not acquired — the default state to which the soul belongs.
Level Two
It is experienced through atmaswaroop
When the soul knows itself as a soul, the original peace re-emerges from within.
Level Three
It is made permanent through union with Paramatma
Connection with the Supreme deepens and stabilises the state into lasting power.
When this relationship awakens, the soul does not merely remain peaceful in itself. Its thoughts, sankalps, and very presence begin to radiate Paramshanti energy — making the soul a medium for its own transformation and for the transformation of the world.
Chapter ThreeThe Secret of Vibrations and the Science of Paramshanti
The foundation of creation, in Bapuji's knowledge, is sankalp — the vibration of thought. In its grosser form we call these vibrations, and everything that exists — thoughts, feelings, the atmosphere, even the entire cosmos — is built from them. These vibrations arise from the thinking of the soul itself.
When a human being thinks negatively, negative vibrations arise and make the atmosphere heavy, disturbed, and distorted. When the soul generates positive, pure, or supreme-level thoughts, those pure vibrations make the atmosphere light, clean, and balanced. The atmosphere, therefore, is not merely a mixture of air or physical substance — it stores the subtle record of human thought.
This is why Paramshanti is not only a personal experience but a transformative force. Established in atmaswaroop and steady in the sankalp of Paramshanti, the soul produces an energy far more subtle and effective than ordinary thought. This energy first calms and balances the inner levels of the soul — mind, intellect, and impressions — then moves through the subtle body and causal body, spreads through the aura, and finally flows outward into the atmosphere, reducing accumulated negativity and establishing purity in its place.
Bapuji Insight
“Paramshanti ke vibrations se vayumandal badalta hai.”
“Through the vibrations of Paramshanti, the atmosphere itself is transformed.”
Chapter FourParamshanti, Param Prakash, and Param Mahashanti
Paramshanti and Param Prakash are not separate. Where there is true Paramshanti, Param Prakash — the supreme light — is naturally present. The very word holds a light within itself. Param Prakash is the supreme power of the soul that awakens its original memory, purifies its inner being, and expands its intellect. The more powerful the soul, the more widely the light of Paramshanti spreads.
Bapuji Insight
“Paramshanti shabd hi aisa hai ki uske andar Param Prakash samaya hua hai.”
“The very word Paramshanti is such that within it resides Param Prakash — the supreme light.”
The book also describes the expanding levels of this peace — a single principle widening through ever-greater scales of creation:
Individual & Home
Paramshanti
Peace at the level of the individual and the home.
Beyond Boundaries
Behad ki Paramshanti
Peace that expands beyond all boundaries and conditions.
The Infinite
Behad ke Behad ki Param Param Param Mahashanti
The supreme peace that spreads into infinite directions, through infinite realms, across the boundless creation.
Chapter FiveFrom Which Elements Are Vibrations Formed?
Vibration is deeply connected with the five elements, the panchtattva. The air element (vayu tattva) plays the primary role in the spread of vibrations, for it is the medium through which these waves travel from place to place. But vibration is not confined to air alone.
When thoughts are negative, the intensity of the fire element (agni tattva) joins with air, producing heat, unrest, and instability. When thoughts are pure and positive, air combines with the subtle quality of the ether element (akash tattva), and the atmosphere becomes lighter, more balanced, and more peaceful. The Earth's atmosphere is relatively heavy because negative and mixed vibrations are present here in greater quantity. As one moves toward higher dimensions, the dominance of the ether element increases while the influence of air and fire decreases.
| Quality of thought | Elements that combine | Effect on the atmosphere |
|---|---|---|
| Negative — anger, fear, hatred | Air (vayu) + Fire (agni) | Heat, unrest, instability; heavy and disturbed |
| Positive & pure | Air (vayu) + Ether (akash) | Lighter, more balanced, more peaceful |
| Supreme — Paramshanti | Refined ether; energy of Paramdham | Highly subtle, purifying, transformative |
Chapter SixMantra Japa, Contemplation, and the Power of Atmaswaroop
The essence of this mantra is captured in one simple yet profoundly deep instruction:
Bapuji Insight
“Behad ki Paramshanti socho, bolo — Paramshanti mil jaayegi.”
“Think and speak the Behad ki Paramshanti — Paramshanti will be attained.”
The book explains that mantra japa unfolds on three levels, each more powerful than the last:
The three levels of japa
Preliminary
Vocal japa
Repeating the word “Paramshanti” aloud. It gives the mind direction and helps bring scattered thoughts under control.
Subtler
Mental japa
Remembering Paramshanti silently within the mind. More subtle, it draws the mind inward.
Most powerful
Japa established in atmaswaroop
When the soul experiences itself as a point-form source of pure consciousness and stays steady in the sankalp, japa is no longer thought — it becomes a powerful energy. Here the true practice begins.
In this deepest state the effect unfolds progressively: first the mind calms and the movement of thoughts slows; then the intellect gains clarity and stability, and decisions become more correct and balanced; finally the practice begins to work at the level of sanskars, where old negative patterns weaken and new, pure, divine impressions take their place. This is why the Paramshanti mantra is not merely a means of calming the mind, but a deep medium for the transformation of sanskars.
Chapter SevenEffect on the Body, Cells, Aura, and Causal Body
The vibration of Paramshanti works at an extremely subtle level. Established in atmaswaroop, the soul's steady sankalp first enters the subtle body, then spreads through the aura, and through continuous japa gradually reaches the gross body, where every cell begins to receive it. The five elements within the body — water, air, earth, fire, and ether — are purified and balanced, giving an experience of lightness and peace.
The deepest effect falls upon the causal body (karan sharir), the storehouse of the sanskars and karmas of many births. When the vibration and light of Paramshanti reach this level, old sanskars begin to loosen, the weight of karma lightens, and the process of vikarm vinash — the dissolution of wrong actions — begins.
The aura as a protective shield
When the soul remains continuously steady in this sankalp, its aura fills with light and supreme power and takes the form of a subtle protective shield — a raksha kavach. If anyone sends a negative sankalp toward such a soul, that energy is stopped at the level of the aura itself. What is remarkable is that the negativity does not merely stop: under the high vibration of Paramshanti it is gradually transformed into positive energy and returned to its source, leaving a positive effect even on the one who sent it.
Bapuji Insight
“Jab atma Paramshanti ke vibrations phailati hai, to uska aura itna shaktishali ho jaata hai ki koi bhi negative sankalp us tak pahunch nahi sakta, balki vo badalkar sakaratmak ban jaata hai.”
“When the soul spreads the vibrations of Paramshanti, its aura becomes so powerful that no negative sankalp can reach it — that very sankalp is transformed and becomes positive.”
Chapter EightEffect on Home, Family, Society, and Earth
When a soul established in atmaswaroop begins to radiate the energy of Paramshanti, the first effect appears in its own home. The atmosphere gradually becomes peaceful, stable, and light; where there was once tension or heaviness, ease and balance arise. The same vibrations reach the other members of the family and positively influence their minds, thoughts, and behaviour. Step by step, the influence moves outward — to society, the city, the state, the country, and ultimately the entire Earth.
When the japa and heartfelt remembrance of Paramshanti are done continuously and deeply, the home itself can become like a temple. Everyone who enters experiences that peace and sanctity, whether or not they understand its cause.
This influence is not confined to the gross world. Negative or disturbing subtle beings cannot bear these high vibrations and begin to move away, while ancestral souls in a disturbed state begin to experience peace and are inspired to move onward toward higher realms. Thus Paramshanti establishes balance and purity at the subtle level too — wherever it is practised, the atmosphere, both gross and subtle, begins to become peaceful, safe, and sacred.
Chapter NineVibrations in the Higher Realms and the Subtle World
The subtle world has its own vibrations of sankalp. The souls there are influenced by thought just as we are: some are peaceful, some disturbed; some rising, some sinking. Just as human thinking shapes the atmosphere of this world, the thinking of souls shapes the atmospheres of the subtle realms.
As the soul moves toward the higher realms, the gravity of the Earth exerts less and less influence. After approximately two hundred kilometres, the pull of Earth-gravity begins to diminish and the dominance of the ether element increases. Moving onward through Brahmapuri, Vishnupuri, Shivpuri, and finally Paramdham, the soul's experience becomes ever more peaceful, subtle, and still. In Paramdham, the soul's final level is utterly peaceful, pure, and free from thought.
Chapter TenAtmaswaroop and the Third Eye
To be established in atmaswaroop is, in the truest sense, the opening of the third eye — not any external eye, but the divine vision that awakens within. When the soul experiences itself as a conscious being rather than a body, its eye of knowledge opens, bringing deep insight, clarity, and detachment. In that state the soul rises above external illusions and begins to see its own true, luminous form.
Bapuji Insight
“Swayam ko pehchaanna hi atma-gyan hai.”
“To recognise the self — that itself is atma-gyan, the knowledge of the soul.”
In this context the book points to a profound instruction from the Bhagavad Gita, where Bhagwan Shri Krishna shows the soul the path back to its original identity:
“Forget the body and all relations of the body; become atma-swaroop, remember Me, the Paramatma. I shall destroy all your sins and carry you with Me to the highest Paramdham.”
As long as the soul remains bound in the memory of the body and its relations, it cannot connect with its true form or with Paramatma. The moment it rises above these limits and is established in pure, conscious atmaswaroop, its path toward Paramatma naturally opens. Atmaswaroop is therefore the very doorway through which the soul connects with both Paramshanti and Paramatma.
Chapter ElevenThe Kala of the Soul and the Expansion of Paramshanti Vibrations
The effect of Paramshanti does not depend on the utterance of the word alone — it rests, far more deeply, on the state of the soul and its inner power. Every soul holds a certain kala, a measure of spiritual capacity determined by its journey, sanskars, karmas, and level of awakening. This kala decides how much power a soul can hold and how far it can extend.
A soul still caught in body-consciousness, unsteady, or carrying impure sanskars will produce a weak sankalp that influences only a limited area. A soul established in atmaswaroop — stable, pure, connected with Paramatma — transforms the same word “Paramshanti” into a tremendously powerful energy that crosses many levels of the atmosphere, reaching first the home, then society, then the nation, and onward to cosmic levels.
This is why the same word, spoken by different individuals, produces such different effects. The word is only a medium; the true power resides in the consciousness and kala of the soul that holds it.
Bapuji Insight
“Atmaswaroop mein rahkar Paramshanti ke vibrations phailao.”
“Remain established in atmaswaroop, and from there spread the vibrations of Paramshanti.”
Chapter TwelveFrom Self-Transformation to World Transformation
Self-transformation is the original and foundational law of world transformation. The world, in Bapuji's knowledge, changes not from the outside but from within. When the soul emerges from body-consciousness and is established in atmaswaroop, the sankalps arising within it change — and this sankalp shakti first influences the soul's own mind, intellect, and impressions, then the atmosphere of the home, and gradually spreads to society, the nation, and the entire world.
We tend to believe the world's problems are external, but their root cause is the negative vibration accumulated in the atmosphere. The thoughts, feelings, and sankalps of every individual combine into a collective energy-field; when that field turns negative, the same energy manifests as war, unrest, disease, and natural imbalance. Events are only results — behind them, the subtle energies of sankalp are at work.
Bapuji Insight
“Swaparivartan se hi vishwaparivartan hota hai.”
“World transformation happens only through self-transformation.”
The solution is equally clear. As Paramshanti sankalps spread continuously and collectively, they begin to purify the atmosphere — just as clean water added to turbid water slowly clarifies the whole. As the atmosphere becomes pure, the five elements come into balance, and this elemental transformation becomes the basis of world transformation.
Bapuji Insight
“Samay ko badalne ke liye atma ko badalna padta hai.”
“To change the time, the soul itself must be changed.”
Chapter ThirteenWar, Natural Calamities, and the Decisive Role of Paramshanti
The time ahead is described as a period of transition through which the world is to pass through a great transformation. The conflicts, wars, and natural calamities visible today are not only outer events — behind them works a deep subtle cause: the negative vibrations accumulated in the atmosphere. When this collective energy-field fills with negativity over a long period, it eventually reaches an explosive stage that takes the form of war, disaster, or social instability.
Seen this way, war is not the fault of any one country or individual; it is the result of the collective consciousness of human society. And the solution is stated with equal clarity — the energy of the Paramshanti sankalp. Directly connected with the consciousness of Paramdham, this energy is extremely subtle, powerful, and pure. As it spreads, it gradually dissolves the negativity that is the root cause of destruction, and a change begins to appear in human thinking as those filled with anger or fear move toward peaceful, positive thoughts.
If this process is carried out collectively across the world — a great number of souls, established in atmaswaroop, spreading Paramshanti together — its effect multiplies and begins to act at the global level. It is at this point that world-level conflicts, and even possible world-war situations, can be prevented. This is presented not as fantasy but as a real solution grounded in the science of subtle energy.
Bapuji Insight
“Ant ke samay mein shanti chahiye to Paramshanti bolni hogi.”
“If peace is desired at the end time, then Paramshanti must be spoken.”
The message is clear: in the time ahead, reliance on external means alone — security, technology, resources — will protect only up to a limit. When the atmosphere itself becomes unbalanced, true safety is possible only through the power of the soul. The future is built from the sankalps of the present; if Paramshanti sankalps spread now, peace, balance, and the establishment of a new divine world become possible.
Chapter FourteenThe Sadhana of the Paramshanti Maha Mantra
The sadhana is practised on the same three levels — vocal, mental, and atmaswaroop — but its real effect appears when the soul, established in atmaswaroop, stays steady in the sankalp of Paramshanti. The true purpose is not to increase the count of the mantra, but to establish the soul in its original identity, where japa becomes a medium for the transformation of consciousness and the spreading of power.
A simple way to begin
Sit and settle the mind
Begin by clearly uttering “Paramshanti.” In early practice, repeating it fifty to a hundred times helps the mind quieten and thoughts become stable.
Turn the remembrance inward
Move from speaking to silent, mental remembrance, drawing the mind steadily inward.
Become atmaswaroop
Experience yourself not as the body but as a point-form source of pure consciousness, and hold the sankalp of Paramshanti from that state. Here japa becomes a living vibration.
Deepen into continuous remembrance
As practice grows into continuous, heartfelt manan, its influence extends to the atmosphere of the home, where a stable peace begins to establish itself.
Expand the sankalp to the boundless
Form the sankalp of “Behad ki Paramshanti” and “Behad ke Behad ki Param Mahashanti.” The vibrations arising here are not confined to any region — they spread far and wide.
“Behad ki Paramshanti” · “Behad ke Behad ki Param Param Param Mahashanti”
Cosmic ReachParamshanti Vibrations and the Multiverse Effect
The vibrations of Paramshanti are not confined to the Earth — their expansion is far wider. When the soul, established in atmaswaroop, forms the sankalp of Paramshanti, the subtle waves arising within it pass through many levels and can move progressively outward across the great scales of creation.
| Level of creation | What it refers to |
|---|---|
| Earth | The immediate atmosphere — body, home, surroundings |
| Brahmand | A solar system — a complete creation-system with its own realms and layers |
| Maha Brahmand | A galaxy — a vast grouping of many Brahmands |
| Param Maha Brahmand | A universe / the multiverse — innumerable creations and infinite levels of consciousness |
How far this energy reaches depends on the soul's inner power, stability, and kala. A soul in a limited state affects only its surroundings; a soul in a high state, connected with Paramatma and expanded in consciousness, sends an energy so powerful that it passes through subtle levels to reach cosmic and higher dimensions. This expansion is not only of distance but of levels of consciousness — the more subtle and powerful the consciousness, the deeper the realms it can touch.
To explore the structure of creation, the arrangement of the realms, and the journey of the soul in greater depth, the book points readers to a companion title — Life in Multiverse — available in many languages, including Hindi and English.

ConclusionWhere Real Transformation Begins
This book shows that Paramshanti is not a mere concept but the real power of the soul. When the soul is established in its own true form, its words, thoughts, and sankalps become vibrations and begin to spread — calming the mind, lightening the body, sanctifying the home, transforming the atmosphere, and opening the way to the new world of the future.
The closing message is simple, and it is also a practice: if peace is truly desired, then Paramshanti must be spoken; and if world transformation is desired, then self-transformation must come first.
