Self- Transformation results to Transformation of the World
As Bapuji Dashrathbhai Patel has always explained, the transformation of the self is the foundation for the transformation of the world. Without self-transformation, there can be no world transformation. The world changes only when each individual soul begins to change itself — in thoughts, vibrations, and consciousness. When a person truly begins the search for the self, a new life begins. Many souls have wandered through countless births, lost in desires and the pursuit of fulfilment, but never asking the essential questions: Who am I? Where did I come from? Why am I here? How long will I continue this cycle of birth and death? Only when this inner question awakens does transformation begin. The true seeker realizes that this cycle of life, death, disease, and decay is not normal — it is bondage. Liberation begins with the understanding that I am not this body, I am a soul.
The Path of Knowledge
This path of knowledge (gyan marg) is not for everyone. Many souls come and go — some seek fame, some health, some power, and some merely peace of mind. But those who seek the Supreme Being, the Infinite, the Limitless, are the ones truly walking this path. Bapuji has taught that the purpose of this journey is Paramshanti — the realization of the soul’s supreme peace and its connection with the Infinite Creator beyond even Shiva. The scriptures of Sanatan Dharma stopped at the understanding of Shiva, but Bapuji revealed the secret of Supreme Souls (Paramatma tattva) who exist beyond all dimensions. Until one’s mind, intellect, and sanskaras (impressions) change, true transformation cannot begin. Without inner change, no outer practice — be it rituals, temples, or yoga — can liberate a soul.
Why Self-Transformation Comes First
When a person transforms himself, his vibrations automatically purify the environment. World transformation begins with a single vibration of purity. There is no personal gain here, no fame, no recognition — only duty. Just as a parent performs duties without expecting garlands of praise, a soul walking the path of knowledge performs divine duty without seeking reward.
True change requires:
· Changing thoughts and sanskaras
· Developing self-awareness through remembrance (smriti)
· Living in Paramshanti — the peace beyond emotion and reaction
Every being we meet is a mirror reflecting our inner world. When the mind is restless, the world appears restless. When the soul becomes peaceful, the world around begins to transform.
The Art of the Infinite
Bapuji calls this the Art of the Infinite (Anant Kala) — a divine journey not recorded in any earthly scripture. Modern astronomy speaks of trillions of galaxies, but the knowledge of infinite universes (Behad Brahmands) comes only through deep soul realization. The transformation of self is, therefore, a cosmic event — a micro-reflection of universal transformation. Ea ch awakened soul becomes a transmitter of supreme vibrations that uplift creation itself.
The State of the Human Mind
Human life is entangled in illusion (Maya). People live for desires, achievements, or family attachments. Even when everything is lost, most still resist turning inward. When worldly goals collapse, some feel only despair instead of realizing that this is the divine invitation to awaken. As one grows older, the body weakens, but the soul yearns for meaning. Those who do not seek knowledge, even at this stage, risk remaining in the cycle of birth and death — bound by unfulfilled desires. Such souls may wander as ghosts or spirits, still attached to family, wealth, or temples they built in past lives. Bapuji warns: Without self-realization, there is no liberation. Even after death, desires and attachments pull souls back into reincarnation.
Breaking the Bonds of Karma
Karmic bondage cannot be dissolved by death. It dissolves only through knowledge (Brahma Gyan) and remembrance of the Supreme. A true guru shows the soul how to ascend beyond the earth plane, beyond the cycle of cause and effect. Transformation begins when one stops blaming circumstances and begins to take full responsibility for the mind. Whatever is held inside — attachment, pride, jealousy — must be released by awareness, not by force or rituals.
As Bapuji teaches, “Only when you leave from within, you are truly free.”
Maya and Its Subtle Traps
The illusion of Maya doesn’t just bind through wealth or relationships — it binds through subtle ego, spiritual pride, and the desire for recognition. Even sadhus and saints can fall into this trap. When subtle ego remains, Paramshanti cannot be experienced. True freedom is not escape from duty but the ability to act without attachment. Even while living among family, a yogi remains inwardly detached and aware. This is the beginning of jeevan mukti — liberation while alive.
The Need for Continuous Practice
Just as the body needs food every day, the soul requires daily nourishment through remembrance, service, and meditation. Self-transformation is not a one-time event; it is a continuous process of awakening from ignorance to light. Knowledge (gyan), remembrance (yog), service (seva), and meditation (sadhna) — these four are the essential pillars of transformation. Without inner change, no ritual, no pilgrimage, no mantra can purify the soul.
The Illusion of the World
People take pride in their good deeds, wealth, or charitable works, but Bapuji says: “If you want to give, give the gift of self-realization. If you have liberated even one soul, your fortune is greater than kings.” Helping one soul awaken from ignorance is the highest service to the universe. Donating money or building temples may give temporary peace, but spreading Brahma Gyan grants Paramshanti — eternal peace.
The True Meaning of Transformation
Transformation does not mean outer chane — new clothes, ashrams, or rituals. It means dissolving the false identity and living as a pure, radiant soul. When one soul becomes light, it uplifts thousands. When thousands awaken, the world begins to transform. Thus, world transformation is the reflection of collective self-transformation. Until the soul experiences Paramshanti — the supreme, formless peace — the cycle of sorrow continues. But when the soul realizes its origin in the Infinite, the illusions of the world fade away like mist before the rising sun.
Final Message
Transformation of self is the only true revolution. The world will change not by wars, politics, or technology, but by vibration — by the awakening of one soul at a time. So begin with yourself. Change your thoughts. Awaken your soul. Experience Paramshanti (Supreme Peace). Then, the world will naturally follow
