On this auspicious occasion of Teachers’ Day, heartfelt gratitude was offered to beloved Dadaji, Brahma, and all spiritual guides. With folded hands and humble hearts, salutations were placed at their divine feet, seeking their blessings and guidance.

The Significance of Teachers in Human Life

A teacher shapes a student’s life just as a mother nurtures her child. Through care, wisdom, and discipline, teachers help individuals understand the world, society, and the deeper meaning of life. Throughout our lives, we learn from many people—parents, elders, mentors, and guides—each contributing to our growth. On this special day, prayers were offered for everyone’s well-being, supreme peace, and spiritual illumination. It was emphasized that every individual can become a teacher by guiding others toward righteousness, self-realization, and liberation.

Knowledge, Understanding, and Inner Awakening

True knowledge is not limited to books and classrooms. While modern education and technology provide information, they often fail to offer deep inner understanding. Real wisdom lies in knowing the soul, recognizing the Supreme, and understanding our purpose on Earth. Without understanding, humans remain trapped in confusion. When insight arises, clarity emerges. Scriptures teach that Brahman is truth and the world is transient. This realization frees individuals from attachment and illusion.

True learning involves listening, understanding, experiencing, and living according to knowledge. Many ancient and awakened souls have contributed to spreading this wisdom, and gratitude was expressed to all of them.

Earthly Teachers and Spiritual Gurus

In life, two types of gurus exist:

  • External Guru – the teacher who guides us in worldly matters.

  • Inner Guru – the voice of conscience that guides us spiritually.

Both are essential. Without a true guru, attaining Brahma knowledge is nearly impossible. Even divine incarnations such as Lord Rama and Lord Krishna had gurus. Indra himself practiced discipline before gaining self-knowledge. A true guru connects the disciple to the Supreme and removes inner darkness. Such guidance cannot be achieved alone. Spiritual progress requires humility, surrender, and dedication.

Equality of All Souls and the Essence of Brahma

Every soul is an essence of Brahma. No being is inferior or superior. God created all with equal potential, strength, and divine qualities. However, humans often fail to recognize their own greatness.

Religious traditions sometimes argue over supremacy, but true spirituality teaches unity and respect. Supremacy is not about competition; it is about realization. Only through education, practice, and self-transformation can one experience this truth and become part of the divine community.

The Role of the True Guru

A true guru is one whose consciousness is awakened and who has experienced supreme awareness. Such a guru removes ignorance accumulated over many lifetimes and guides the disciple toward God-realization. Without the refuge of a true guru, spiritual progress becomes difficult. A blind person cannot lead another blind person; only one who sees the truth can guide others.

When disciples sincerely follow their guru, they grow spiritually and become united with their spiritual community.

The Story of Ashvini Kumar: Divine Physicians

In Vedic literature, the Ashvins—Nasatya and Dasra—are twin divine beings known as Ashvini Kumar. They are mentioned hundreds of times in the Rig Veda and are considered the original teachers of Ayurveda. They are associated with healing, youthfulness, vitality, and compassion. They were doctors to Dieties/ Devtas.  According to scriptures, they restored aged sages to youth, symbolizing mastery over health and life energy. They traveled together in a golden chariot at dawn and were regarded as divine physicians of the gods.

Pride, Ego, and Spiritual Decline

Despite their great abilities, Ashvini Kumar developed pride in their knowledge. They once insulted Indra and were excluded from sacred sacrifices. Their guru, Atharva Rishi, recognized their ego and withheld Brahma Vidya from them. They were skilled in worldly sciences but lacked spiritual eligibility. Without humility, even great knowledge becomes incomplete. Their downfall teaches that ego blocks spiritual growth. Knowledge without purity cannot lead to liberation.

Two Types of Disciples

The discourse described two kinds of students:

1. The True Disciple

  • Respects the guru

  • Accepts correction

  • Works on personal flaws

  • Remains patient and dedicated

Such disciples progress and receive divine blessings.

2. The Egoistic Disciple

  • Becomes angry at criticism

  • Disrespects the guru

  • Leaves the path easily

  • Blames others

Such students abandon knowledge and remain trapped in confusion.

This behavior is also seen today when people switch spiritual paths due to minor dissatisfaction.

Self-Reflection and Inner Purification

When progress stops, one must look within:

  • Have I hurt someone?

  • Have I spoken harshly?

  • Have I acted with ego?

  • Have I neglected discipline?

Self-examination is essential. Daily reflection helps identify weaknesses and encourages improvement.

True growth requires continuous effort and inner purification.

Revenge Never Brings Peace

Ashvini Kumar sought revenge against Indra for humiliation. Their guru warned them that revenge only multiplies suffering. Every action produces consequences. Revenge may give momentary satisfaction but ultimately destroys peace. Forgiveness, patience, and contentment are the true paths to inner freedom.

Washing the Mind and Senses

The speaker emphasized “washing the mind and senses” through:

  • Forgiveness

  • Letting go of grudges

  • Removing jealousy

  • Eliminating anger

  • Practicing contentment

A pure mind becomes a temple of peace. Harboring hatred only poisons the soul.

Lessons for Modern Humanity

Even today, despite having doctors, scientists, engineers, and scholars, many lack spiritual wisdom. Worldly achievements alone cannot provide fulfillment. The condition of Ashvini Kumar reflects the condition of modern humanity—intelligent yet spiritually incomplete. Without Brahma Vidya, true peace remains distant.

Conclusion: Meditation and Supreme Peace

The discourse concluded with a collective meditation. Listeners were encouraged to close their eyes, relax, and release all negative emotions.

They were reminded:

  • We are not the body

  • We are not the mind

  • We are not the intellect

  • We are divine souls of supreme light

By dissolving ego, jealousy, and attachment, one can attain supreme peace
