2018, The Eternal Truth of Sanatana Dharma: Scriptures, Cosmos and Journey of the Soul
Introduction
Sanatana Dharma, the eternal spiritual tradition of India, is rooted in ancient scriptures such as the Vedas, Upanishads, Puranas, Ramayana, Mahabharata, and the Bhagavad Gita. In modern times, many people question the authenticity of these texts, considering them mere mythology or imagination. However, spiritual masters affirm that these scriptures are divine records of cosmic truth, preserved through enlightened souls for humanity’s upliftment. According to this wisdom, only limited understanding and materialistic perception prevent people from recognizing their deeper spiritual reality.
The True Meaning of Sanatana Dharma
Sanatana Dharma means the “eternal way of life” — the original divine system that existed before time cycles began. It is also called Adi Anant Devi-Devta Dharma, the primordial spiritual order.
This tradition teaches that:
Creation is eternal and cyclical.
Infinite solar systems and universes are continuously formed and dissolved.
The cosmos operates under divine laws beyond human intellect.
Modern science is now beginning to echo these ideas through theories of multiverses and cosmic expansion, validating ancient spiritual insights.
Creation, Preservation, and Transformation
According to the scriptures:
Brahma governs creation.
Vishnu sustains existence.
Shiva transforms and dissolves.
Each galaxy and solar system functions under specific divine authorities. While Shiva creates individual solar systems, Mahashiva governs entire galaxies. This is why Mahashivratri holds cosmic significance.
Time Cycles and the Age of the Universe
Ancient sages calculated cosmic time with remarkable precision.
Key concepts include:
Four Yugas: Satya, Treta, Dwapar, and Kali.
One Chaturyuga = 4.32 million years.
1,000 Chaturyugas = One day of Brahma (4.32 billion years).
Brahma’s life = 100 divine years.
We are currently living in the first day of Brahma’s second half (Dwitiya Parardha).
After fixed cycles, various dissolutions occur:
Ardh Pralaya (partial dissolution)
Kalpa Pralaya (major dissolution)
Maha Kaal Pralaya (complete cosmic dissolution)
These cycles govern the rise and fall of worlds.
In ancient times, sages had divine intellect and could memorize all scriptures by heart. Lord Rama appeared at the end of Tretayuga, which was followed by Dwaparyuga (864,000 years) and then Kaliyuga (432,000 years). The age of our solar system equals one day in Brahma’s life, and Brahma’s full lifespan is 100 divine years. We are currently in the first day of Brahma’s second half (Dwitiya Parardha). One day of Brahma equals 1,000 Chaturyugas — about 4.32 billion Earth years. Likewise, Brahma’s night is of equal length. After every 71 Chaturyugas, a partial dissolution (Ardh Pralaya) takes place. After 14 Manvantaras, there is a Kalpa Pralaya that ends all life on Earth, Heaven, and the intermediate worlds. After 100 Brahma years, the Maha Kaal Pralaya occurs, where the entire solar system dissolves.
Authenticity of the Scriptures
The scriptures are considered divine recordings perceived through higher consciousness. Ved Vyas, endowed with divine vision, received this knowledge through soul awareness. Lord Ganesha transcribed it, ensuring its preservation.
Each Purana reflects a divine viewpoint:
Shiv Purana — Shiva’s wisdom
Vishnu Purana — Vishnu’s knowledge
Brahma Purana — Creation principles
Markandeya Purana — Cosmic mathematics
They describe multiple realms, from Earth to higher spiritual abodes and finally the Supreme Abode (Paramdham).
Heaven, Hell, and the Soul’s Journey
All major religions acknowledge higher and lower realms of existence. Ved Vyas dictated the texts, and Lord Ganesha wrote them down. Above Brahmapuri, where Brahma resides, lies Vishnupuri, then Shivpuri, and beyond that is the Supreme Abode (Paramdham). Below them are Bhulok, Bhuvarlok, Swarglok, Maharlok, Janalok, and Tapolok. Each Purana reflects the perspective of a divine being — Shiv Purana contains Shiva’s knowledge, Vishnu Purana contains Vishnu’s, Brahma Purana contains Brahma’s, and Markandeya Purana contains Rishi Markandeya’s cosmic mathematics. Every religion — including Islam and Christianity — accepts the concepts of Heaven and Hell. Heaven (Swarglok) is the third dimension, above Earth (Bhulok) and the intermediate realm (Bhuvarlok).
Deities in Heaven have three-elemental subtle bodies made of Ether (Akash), Fire (Agni), and Air (Vayu). Humans have five-elemental physical bodies, adding Water (Jal) and Earth (Prithvi). Earth is not Heaven, Only through devotion, knowledge, and purity can a soul transcend rebirth.
From Human to Shiv: Spiritual Transformation
Creation unfolds as follows:
Nirakar Shiv (formless light) initiates creation.
Shakti emerges.
Vishnu and Brahma arise.
Saptarishis establish the worlds.
This process repeats across infinite solar systems. A soul that awakens its divine nature rises beyond illusion and becomes one with Brahm. This is expressed in the declarations:
“Aham Brahmasmi” — I am Brahm
“Shivoham Shivoham” (I am Shiv) This realization is the goal of spiritual life.
Cosmic Structure: From Shiv to Mahashiv
The scriptures describe a vast hierarchy:
Shiv — Governs solar systems
Mahashiv — Governs galaxies
Param Mahashiv — Oversees universes
Behad Vishva — Infinite multiverse
One moment of Mahashiv equals 100 years of Brahma. Such immense scales can only be grasped through awakened intellect.
The Eternal Cycle of Souls
Souls descend from light into material forms through desire, ego, and attachment (Maya). Even heavenly beings fall when spiritual power weakens.
Through:——Knowledge——Meditation——Discipline——Devotion
souls rise again, regain purity, and return to their original luminous state. The ultimate aim is not to become a deity, but to become pure light — Shiv.
Memory Across Births
The principle “Ant Mati So Gati” teaches that the final thoughts at death determine the next birth. Souls who depart with divine knowledge retain subtle impressions in future lives. This explains why some children show spiritual tendencies early or renounce worldly life. True realization comes from knowing oneself as the soul, residing in subtle awareness beyond the physical body.
Science and Spirituality: A Convergence
Science explores time, space, and energy. Spirituality explores consciousness.
Both now converge toward similar conclusions:
Multiple galaxies
Infinite universes
Vast cosmic cycles
Ancient scriptures had already revealed these truths as “Anant Koti Brahmand” — countless universes. Future scientific discoveries are likely to confirm these revelations further.
The Path of Divine Knowledge
True liberation requires:
Param Gyan (Divine Knowledge)
Atma Swaroop Gyan (Soul Consciousness)
The Bhagavad Gita emphasizes knowledge as the highest path. Rituals alone are insufficient without inner realization. When a soul becomes self-aware, it connects directly with the Supreme Light.
Conclusion
Sanatana Dharma is not mythology. It is the science of consciousness, cosmos, and eternal law. Those who reject it remain limited by ignorance and illusion. Those who understand it evolve into divine beings, destined to return to their original light form.
True Sanatana Dharma explains:
Creation
Preservation
Dissolution
Liberation
Multiversal existence
It is the timeless guide for every soul.
Final Message
Bapuji’s guidance summarizes the essence:
“Immerse your intellect in the Infinite. Gain divine knowledge. Become soul-conscious. Then you will understand creation and your true purpose. The goal of every soul is to become Shiv from human — the eternal light of Paramshanti.”
By studying worldly, celestial, and eternal knowledge, a soul prepares not only for this life but also for future journeys.
Paramshanti (Supreme Peace) to all souls in all universes.
