Episode 841, Chiranjeevi Kaghbhusandi Ji: The Immortal Witness of Multiversal Time

A Sage Who Witnessed Many Creations

In tonight’s divine meditation discourse, we are introduced to one of the most mysterious and powerful beings in Sanatan spiritual history — Chiranjeevi Kaghbhusandi Ji, the immortal crow-sage. His story is not only recorded in Ramcharitmanas and Yoga Vashistha, but it also unveils the deep mechanics of time, rebirth, karma, and cosmic cycles. Kaghbhusandi Ji is not just a mythological crow. He is a living memory of the universe itself — a being who has seen Ramayana unfold 11 times and Mahabharata happen 16 times. Through his story, humanity learns how souls evolve across lifetimes and how true liberation is achieved.

Who Was Kaghbhusandi Ji ?

was originally a human soul, born during an earlier cycle of Kali Yuga in Ayodhya, in the house of a Shudra. He was a devotee of Lord Shiva, but due to ego and sectarian arrogance, he began criticizing Lord Vishnu and Lord Rama. This spiritual arrogance became the cause of his long karmic journey. Although his guru was a wise Brahmin and a devotee of Shiva, he never criticized Vishnu. When his disciple continued his egoistic behavior, destiny intervened.

The Curse That Became a Cosmic Blessing

One day, due to disrespect toward Vishnu and divine law, Lord Shiva pronounced a curse: “You shall be born a thousand times in different forms.” But Shiva, being Mahadev — the most compassionate — also gave a blessing:

  • He would remember all his past lives

  • He would never suffer during death

  • He would ultimately gain devotion to Lord Rama

Thus, the soul that became Kaghbhusandi Ji began a long journey across a thousand lifetimes, taking forms of serpents, birds, and sages, while retaining full memory of his past. This is what made him a Chiranjeevi — an immortal witness of time.

Birth as the Divine Crow

In his final form, after many lifetimes, he was cursed again — this time to become a crow. However, through the Ram Mantra, he attained such spiritual elevation that even in a bird’s body, he became a Mahāyogi.

From then on, he was known as:

Kaghbhusandi Ji — The Crow Who Became a Sage

He lived in the Kalpavriksha tree atop Mount Padmarak, beyond the reach of ordinary time.

Vashistha Meets the Immortal

In Yoga Vashistha, Sage Vashistha visits Indra’s celestial court, where the topic of Chiranjeevis (immortals) arises. The sages declare that Kaghbhusandi Ji is the longest-living being in all creation. Vashistha journeys to Mount Sumeru, where he finds the great crow-sage in deep soul-consciousness. When asked about his life, Kaghbhusandi Ji reveals astonishing truths.

What Kaghbhusandi Ji Has Seen

He states:

  • He has witnessed countless creations and destructions

  • He saw times when no Sun, Moon, Vishnu, Shiva, or Brahma existed

  • He saw demons rule for 20 ages

  • He saw oceans swallow Earth

  • He saw mountains grow so large they crushed continents

  • He saw entire universes vanish

Most shockingly, he states: “I saw Ram take birth 11 times I saw Krishna take birth 16 times I saw Mahabharata unfold 16 times” Thus, scriptures we think are ancient are actually repeating cosmic cycles.

The Hidden Truth of Time

Kaghbhusandi Ji reveals that: Creation is not linear, The universe resets, Even gods rise and fall, Souls return again and again Only one thing remains permanent: The Soul And those who stabilize in soul-consciousness become free.

What This Means for Humanity Today

We, as modern humans, have only been on Earth for about 5,000 years. Compared to beings like Kagh Bhushan, who endured nearly 2 billion years, we are extremely fortunate.

This knowledge reminds us:

  • We are not bodies

  • We are souls

  • We are here to end our karmic cycle

  • We must stop creating new karma

Negativity, hatred, jealousy, and gossip bind the soul. Purity, silence, and divine remembrance liberate it.

The Teaching of Yoga Vashistha

Yoga is not posture — it is freedom from the mind.

Two paths exist:

  1. Prana Nirodha – control of breath

  2. Chitta Shuddhi – purification of mind

Through either, the soul rises. Kaghbhusandi Ji attained liberation not through a human body — but through inner realization.

Conclusion – Our Time Is Now

Kaghbhusandi Ji shows us:

  • Even a cursed soul can become immortal

  • Even a crow can become a sage

  • Even countless births can end

But only through knowledge, purity, and divine remembrance. This is why Bapuji’s teachings are so vital today — because this is the last phase of the Earth drama. We must now prepare for: Liberation from the cycle of rebirth Just as Kaghbhusandi Ji rose above
